Job description

Role Summary:
Serves as a subject matter expert for the business and Human Resources teams on all aspects of reward policy, offering clear, practical guidance to ensure effective implementation. Supports the delivery of compensation and benefits processes, and produces relevant reward analytics and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Acts as the primary contact for salary survey vendors, managing operational and tactical issues, and overseeing access and use of salary survey portals.
  • Develops and maintains salary structures and benefits communication materials across all operating countries.
  • Advises recruiters, HR business partners, and business leaders on the use of reward elements—such as salary ranges, benefits, and recognition—to support informed reward decisions.
  • Maintains and contributes to a library of reward guidance and communication tools, ensuring content is current and relevant.
  • Conducts compensation benchmarking using data from approved salary survey platforms.
  • Manages the full cycle of salary data submissions for all surveys in which the business participates.
  • Performs formal job evaluations using the Mercer IPE job grading methodology.
  • Maintains the global job catalogue, ensuring timely updates and accuracy of job data.
  • Generates and maintains a suite of standardised reward analytics and reports.
  • Handles queries and reporting related to annual bonus, salary review processes, and benefits renewals.
  • Serves as the initial escalation point for compensation and benefits cases raised via the HR support system.
  • Conducts scenario modelling across all components of reward to support strategic decision-making.
  • Contributes to sustainability efforts by supporting the identification and management of carbon emissions and reduction opportunities associated with reward operations.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Demonstrated experience in reward, covering all key areas: base pay, variable pay, benefits, and recognition.
  • Strong expertise in UK compensation benchmarking, job evaluation methodologies, and the use of reward-related technologies (e.g. salary survey platforms, benchmarking tools).
  • Proficiency in developing and maintaining career frameworks, analytics, and reporting.
  • Strong numerical skills and a high level of proficiency in Excel.
