Job Title: Legal Director
Location: Riyadh

Job Brief We are seeking a highly experienced Legal Director to lead the legal function and ensure all legal services support the organization’s strategic objectives in real estate. This role involves shaping and implementing legal policies, overseeing contract management, and advising leadership across business units. The Legal Director will be instrumental in strengthening organizational performance through robust legal strategies and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement policies and processes for legal advisory services.
  • Provide recommendations for continuous improvement in service delivery.
  • Create and execute strategic and operational plans for the legal department.
  • Manage the department’s budget and monitor progress against strategic objectives.
  • Establish and oversee contract frameworks, templates, and compliance standards.
  • Ensure adherence to local laws and organizational policies in all contractual matters.
  • Lead litigation strategy, represent the organization in court, and manage disputes effectively.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on operations.
  • Support HR in handling employee grievances and disciplinary procedures.
  • Provide counsel on international contracts, transactions, and compliance.
  • Negotiate and review contracts to minimize risk and achieve organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with external counsel on dispute resolution and litigation.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 12+ years of relevant experience, including at least 4 years in a senior legal management role.
  • Strong background in real estate law (essential).
  • Proficiency in English and Arabic (oral and written).
Technical Competencies
  • Expertise in real estate, HMA, and FIDIC (or similar) contracts.
  • In-depth knowledge of Saudi Arabian laws.
  • Strategic leadership and strong business acumen.
