Job description

People Group is looking for a Commissioning Supervisor from an Electrical systems background to work for a leading consultancy.

Position: Commissioning Supervisor
Rate: €700 per day
Location: Amsterdam

Responsibilities:
  • To work closely with the various contractors, engineers and stakeholders to ensure the planned commissioning activities on site are carried out safely and effectively
  • Participate in the coordination of pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities
  • Attend workshops where needed to provide input to P&ID and model reviews
  • Maintain commissioning reports (closeout) documentation throughout the project and submit
  • documentation over to the project manager
  • Review and assist the contractors with following and maintaining their pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures
  • Supervision of some site commissioning activities including; design verification, installation checks/walk-downs/punching) and progress reporting
  • Attends and participates in pre-start up safety reviews with the contractors and any external stakeholders
  • Will support the Commissioning manager and Technical leads with the preparation and management of the cause and effect and integrated site testing

Requirements:
  • Must hold an EU passport
  • Will have completed an MBO or HBO education in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of qualifications and experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with Testing and Commissioning on aviation projects
  • Basic knowledge of technical drawings and specifications.
  • Good communication skills and willingness to work together in a team.
  • Willingness to learn and develop further within the field.
  • Good standard of general computer literacy
  • Ability to think methodically and solve problems
  • Good time management and the ability to multitask; able to maintain an overview of multiple elements of a project, while still handling day-to-day activities
