The Role As Technical Manager, you will oversee the design and technical coordination across several phases of the development. Reporting into the Head of Technical, your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the management of architectural, structural, and M&E designs
- Ensuring compliance with planning approvals, building regulations, and NHBC standards
- Managing external consultants and technical coordinators
- Supporting procurement, construction, and sales teams with accurate design information
- Driving design efficiency and buildability while maintaining quality
About You
- Proven experience as a Technical Manager (or strong Senior Technical Coordinator ready to step up)
- Background in residential development – either with a housebuilder, developer, or consultancy
- Excellent knowledge of UK planning system, building regulations, and technical standards
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver to deadlines
