Job Opportunity: Sub Agent – Major Highways Project

Are you ready to take the next step in your civil engineering career? We’re recruiting for a Sub Agent to join a leading Tier 1 contractor delivering a major £12m highways infrastructure scheme in South East Kent.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a prestigious project with long-term prospects, career development, and the chance to work with an industry leader known for excellence in infrastructure delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the delivery of a large-scale highways scheme in line with programme, budget, and quality standards.
• Manage day-to-day site operations and supervise engineers, subcontractors, and site teams.
• Ensure all works are carried out safely and comply with environmental and quality standards.
• Assist in short-term planning and coordination of works.
• Work closely with the Project Manager to monitor progress, report risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Support temporary works coordination and contribute to design development and constructability reviews.

Requirements:

• Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Proven experience in a Sub Agent or experienced Section Engineer role.
• Background in highways, infrastructure, or civil engineering projects (preferably Tier 1 contractor experience).
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications (desirable).
• Full UK driving licence.
