Job Title: Senior Mechanical Project Engineer
Location: Central London (Head Office)
Contract: Freelance – 6-month contract
Rate: £450 – £475 per day (through a limited company)
Start: ASAP

About the Role:
We are urgently seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join a Tier 1 Main Contractor within their specialist MEP division. This is an exciting freelance opportunity to work on the PCSA (Pre-Construction Services Agreement) phase of a major commercial development located in Central London.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate mechanical services design and installation during the PCSA phase.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Review technical submissions, ensure compliance with specifications, and resolve any design or site issues.
• Attend project meetings and provide technical input where required.
• Ensure work is carried out in line with health & safety standards and company procedures.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Engineer in major commercial developments.
• Strong background working with Tier 1 main contractors or large MEP specialists.
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical building services, design coordination, and pre-construction phases.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to be office-based at the Central London head office.
