Job Opportunity: Senior Engineer – Major Infrastructure & Highways Project

A leading Tier 1 contractor is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Engineer to join the team on a major infrastructure and road scheme in Suffolk.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a high-profile, long-term project with excellent opportunities for progression, working within an organisation known for delivering complex civil engineering schemes across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead engineering activities across key sections of a large-scale highways and infrastructure project.
• Oversee site engineers and ensure technical compliance with designs, specifications, and standards.
• Manage quality control, temporary works, and assurance processes.
• Liaise with clients, designers, and stakeholders to resolve engineering issues efficiently.
• Support the development of construction methodology and contribute to planning and programming.
• Promote and uphold the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental performance on site.

Requirements:

• Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Senior Engineer or strong Site Engineer ready to step up.
• Background in delivering infrastructure, highways, or major civils projects (ideally with a Tier 1 contractor).
• Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
• CSCS card; SMSTS and First Aid (preferred).
• Full UK driving licence.
