Commissioning Manager – Central London | £95,000–£110,000 |Data Centre Project
Location: Central London
Contract Type: Permanent or Contract (Outside IR35 Considered)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commissioning Manager to join a major project based in Central London. Our client is a leading Tier 1 MEP contractor delivering one of the most high-profile Data Centre developments in London.
We’re looking for someone with a strong background in mechanical and electrical (M&E) commissioning, ideally with experience delivering complex building services packages on large-scale construction projects valued £15 million and upwards.
💼 The Role: As Commissioning Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing the full M&E commissioning process on a landmark scheme. You'll work closely with the project team and specialist subcontractors to ensure successful delivery of all building services systems in line with programme and quality standards.

🔧 Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all commissioning activities across mechanical and electrical systems from pre-commissioning through to handover.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams to align commissioning activities.
- Develop and manage the commissioning programme and ensure timely completion.
- Supervise testing, validation, and resolution of any system issues.
- Ensure systems are delivered in line with design intent and relevant compliance standards.
- Report progress and provide regular updates to the senior project team.
🎯 Candidate Requirements:
- Extensive experience in MEP commissioning within commercial or large-scale mixed-use projects.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services (HVAC, BMS, lighting, power, etc.).
- Proven ability to manage M&E commissioning on projects valued at £15 million and above.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
- Contractor-side experience is preferred.
💰 Package:
- Salary: £95,000–£11,000 (DOE)
- Location: Central London
- Contract: Permanent or Contract (Outside IR35 considered)
