Job description
A Tier One Project Management and Engineering Consultancy requires a Project Engineer (Geotechnical) to support ongoing Network Rail projects across the UK. This is a fully REMOTE position, which may require some site or office visits from time to time.
The initial contract duration will be 6 months, although it is highly likely to be extended. This represents a great opportunity to secure a long-term, stable contract position.

You’ll be right for the position if you:
- Hold a degree in Geotechnical Engineering (BEng or BSc)
- Have experience in the management and assurance of projects to NR standards: RSE/02009, CIV/003
- Have experience in:
- Slope stability and seepage modelling analysis.
- Design of foundations, piles, retaining walls, and embankments
- Preparation of interpretive reports and CD 622 geotechnical reports
- Supervision of construction activities such as large-scale geotechnical investigations, earthworks compaction, and foundation construction.
Other areas of responsibility:
- Lead compliance with Network Rail engineering-driven safety requirements and provide technical advice, conditions and approvals consistent with Network Rail policies and standards on allocated schemes.
- Manage the mitigation of engineering and safety risks to the railway associated with proposed and real-time outside and third-party activities.
- Provide technical advice in respect of all engineering design, safe by design, technical specification and construction activities for safe delivery, including testing and commissioning and site supervision.
