Senior Building Surveyor
Essex
£55,000 - £75,000 per annum
Are you an experienced Senior Building Surveyor looking to take the next step in your career?
People Group has collaborated with a leading property and construction consultancy based in Essex. We are looking for a well-rounded Senior Building Surveyor to join the team.
The consultancy boasts over 20 Partners and has been running successfully for over 60 years. They have 5 offices across the UK delivering a range of services across the built environment. The practice has a reputable reputation they have delivered recent projects on Wembley Park, The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and the British Museum to name a few.
We are looking for a well-rounded Senior Building Surveyor to join the consultancy team. You will provide a range of building surveying services across the professional and project disciplines. Work is based in Essex and surrounding home counties, programme values range from £100k - £2million.
The Role
You’ll be involved in a wide variety of building surveying work, including both professional and contract/project-related duties, such as:

The Role
You’ll be involved in a wide variety of building surveying work, including both professional and contract/project-related duties, such as:
- Defect analysis and report writing
- Dilapidations and party wall matters
- Building and due diligence surveys
- Planned preventative maintenance schedules
- Contract administration and Employers Agent roles
- Specification writing for refurbishment and maintenance projects
- Site supervision and monitoring works for quality and progress

- Degree qualified ideally RICS accredited
- MRICS qualified
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Proven ability to manage projects, mentor junior team members, and build strong client relationships
- Highly motivated, proactive and able to work independently with excellent attention to detail
- Full UK driver’s licence
