π Location: Central London
π Contract Type: Permanent or Freelance
π° Salary: Β£55,000 β Β£65,000 (Permanent)
πΌ Freelance Rate: Negotiable (CIS or Ltd Company)
π Start Date: ASAP or by arrangement
I'm working with a leading M&E contractor who is currently delivering a Β£10 million high-end residential development in Central London. With around 12 months left on the project, theyβre looking to bring in an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to oversee on-site delivery through to completion.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established business with a healthy pipeline of work across London and the South East.
The role is being offered on both a permanent and freelance basis to suit the right individual.
The Role: Youβll be based full-time on site, taking ownership of the mechanical package and ensuring the quality, safety, and programme are maintained to the highest standards.

Key Duties:
- Oversee the day-to-day supervision of mechanical operatives and subcontractors
- Ensure mechanical installations are delivered in line with design specs and current regs
- Manage HVAC, public health, and high-spec plumbing systems
- Work closely with site management and other trades to ensure seamless coordination
- Conduct toolbox talks, inspections, and maintain site records
- Support quality checks, snagging, and commissioning
- Solid experience as a Mechanical Supervisor on residential or commercial M&E projects
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems (especially high-end finishes)
- SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS card, and relevant mechanical qualifications
- Able to read drawings, coordinate trades, and keep works progressing efficiently
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, and proactive site management
- Ongoing site role on a live Central London project with 1 year left to run
- Salary between Β£55,000 β Β£65,000 (Permanent)
- Freelance day rate negotiable, paid via CIS or Ltd company
- Long-term opportunities beyond this project with multiple sites in the pipeline
