Title: Head Of Projects
Location: Nationwide Account (Must be able to commute to London office once every 2 weeks)
Salary: c£105,000 + Package
 
We are recruiting a Head of Projects to join the projects division! You’ll be working for the global leader in real estate services the industry's most powerful knowledge base to meet the commercial real estate needs of its clients nationwide. I don’t like the first line, head of projects to join the projects division. What does that mean? FM Construction projects from 500k – 10 million?
 
 
General Activities:
Ensure safe project delivery through risk and competence management.
Recruit and retain talent for current and future projects.
Identify and specify project opportunities.
Fulfill contractual commitments on secured projects.
Deliver projects on time, on budget, and to stakeholder satisfaction.
Manage and reduce all project risks.
Maximize profit through cost reductions and subcontractor services.
Identify and win projects through strong relationships.
Provide business communication via advice, reviews, leadership, and reporting.

Do you they not deal with the companies clients and be the main point of contact for the company, ie they’ll be given a list of clients to ‘look after’ and then try to build relationships and convince them to use CBRE to build these smaller projects?
 
Business Development:
Develop long-term opportunities and create a project pipeline.
Manage bids, tenders, and proposals.
Generate new sales to exceed the annual financial plan.
Innovate to generate project opportunities.
Lead sales processes, including solutions development and presentations.
 
Compliance:
Ensure team compliance with project management policies and health and safety standards.
Conduct regular audits and performance reviews.
Engage supply partners to appropriately manage risk.
 
Financial Management:
Develop and oversee project financial plans.
Ensure delivery of the annual projects plan.
Manage monthly P&L and ensure cost accountability.
Produce financial reports.
Work with subcontractors and suppliers to reduce project costs.
Ensure positive cash flow and control debt below 60 days.
Chair monthly project reviews with key stakeholders.
 
People Management:
Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing project management team.
Maintain a people plan.
Ensure Project Managers are trained and equipped to deliver projects.
Conduct performance reviews and create development plans.
Handle recruitment, selection, and resolution of disciplinary issues.
 
Experience:
Proven project management experience in M&E, FM, construction, or critical environments.
Experience in developing new project opportunities.
Proven P&L management.
Demonstrable team management experience.
Experience in creating and managing bids, tenders, and proposals.
 
Qualifications:
Technical qualification in construction, mechanical, or electrical disciplines.
Strong written and verbal literacy and numeracy skills.
Recognized project management qualification.
