Job description

Want to work on major infrastructure projects that shape the future of one of the busiest transport hubs in the UK?

Running several programmes concurrently, worth over £50m+ with lifecycles of 2+ years, you’ll have the chance to make long term high impact decisions that define how one of their key assets evolves and stays future fit.

As the Development Lead, you'll collaborate directly with key stakeholders across the industry, and C suite leaders, giving you exposure to high level decision making and the chance to influence strategy at the highest level. You’ll also get to work closely with operational teams, ensuring your projects deliver real world improvements without disrupting the operation.

On top of this, you'll enjoy hybrid working, with two days a week from home (usually Monday and Friday) and three days on site. This setup gives you the flexibility to focus when you need to, while still being close to the action when it matters.

What you’ll do

You’ll lead the delivery of major infrastructure programmes across the airfield, ensuring they’re completed safely, efficiently and on time. Your work will directly contribute to growth and performance, while also opening opportunities for you to take on more strategic leadership in the future.

Some of the key things you’ll be doing:
  • Turning strategic infrastructure plans into practical, deliverable projects
  • Planning and managing all aspects of the programme, coordinating across teams
  • Defining and assuring the concept of operations for new assets, including regulatory approvals
  • Working with operational teams to make sure construction and readiness don’t impact live operations
  • Leading project delivery teams and representing programmes at approval and update boards
  • Finding creative solutions to maintain operational intensity during construction

What you’ll need
  • A degree in a relevant field
  • Project or programme management training (e.g., APM, MSP)
  • Change management experience
  • It’s also a plus if you’ve led infrastructure projects in live operational environments before

What you'll get

On offer is a salary of around 80,000 - 90,000 per annum. Beyond this, you’ll have access to a range of benefits including a 30% annual bonus, private medical insurance, a £7,200 cash benefits allowance and a £600 phone allowance. There’s also a 6% employer pension contribution, life assurance (8 x salary), paid professional subscriptions and a staff shareholding plan.
