Civil Package Managers/Site Agent
Devonport Dockyard
£350/day - £420/day (depending on experience and role engaged for)

We are partnered with one of the Framework Consultants delivering upgrade projects at Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth. Our client is looking to take on 2 new freelance hires with experience in the UK defence industry to look after packages of work in one of the basin areas.

Currently, we need one Civil Package Manager and an Assistant Civil Package Manager.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing designs and engagement through the design process.
• Scoping work packages for design drawings in line with the other package managers.
• Assisting the design team to manage the design process.
• Managing packages through procurement and delivery.
• Overseeing procurement of packages, reviewing and appointing subcontractors alongside the commercial team.
• Providing support to construction managers to ensure trade work packages are attaining the agreed delivery programme. 
• Liaising with building project managers as to their requirements to attain delivery programme.
• Managing and reviewing the contractor reporting dashboard.
• Chairing regular progress meetings
• Monitoring the contractor design, programme and deliverables.
• Reviewing and monitoring key quality sign offs and incoming changes.
• Issuing monthly contractor performances and liaising with package champion.

We’re looking for someone who has:

• If you come from a Civil Engineering background and have project management experience from an end client perspective
• Experience working on MOD and Nuclear projects
