Senior Technical MEP Manager
£95k + £6.5k Car Allowance + Company Package
Our client is a market leader in MEP contracting with a rich history and proven track record delivering major building services & infrastructure projects both in the UK and worldwide.
Due to securing some new projects in the aviation market, we are is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Manager to join our Technical team in Greater Manchester where you’ll play a key role in delivering high-profile projects and driving technical excellence.

Due to securing some new projects in the aviation market, we are is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Manager to join our Technical team in Greater Manchester where you’ll play a key role in delivering high-profile projects and driving technical excellence.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Pre-construction design management experience on MEP projects valued between £5M–£50M
- Strong and proven experience across Building Services Engineering, with exposure to sectors such as healthcare or commercial
- Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (BEng, MEng, or MSc) – Desirable
- Skilled in stakeholder coordination and design communication
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status or working towards – Desirable
- Experience managing design risk and specialist input (e.g., MMC, CDP)
What you’ll be doing:
- Own the technical delivery and strategy throughout the pre-construction phase, ensuring compliance with client Project Delivery System (PDS).
- Establish and oversee technical deliverables plans, managing internal and external design reviews.
- Identify, manage, and mitigate design and technical risks effectively.
- Coordinate the engagement of specialist contributors (e.g. MMC/offsite, CDP designers) at appropriate project stages.
- Ensure fully coordinated and clearly communicated designs across all disciplines.
- Discharge client’s legal and technical duties under CDM 2015 and the Building Safety Act.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Drive value engineering processes and manage design changes in collaboration with project teams.
- Define consultant scope, manage design fees, and align deliverables with pricing, procurement, and delivery strategies (including DRM/BG6).
- Work closely with digital engineers, project engineers, and consultants to ensure seamless integration of design across all phases.
