The business operates regionally with a hands-on leadership team and a culture that promotes accountability, collaboration, and career development. Their pipeline includes both private and affordable housing, delivered to a consistently high standard.
The Role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll take full commercial responsibility for multiple residential projects at various stages of development. You'll play a leading role in shaping cost strategy, ensuring financial governance, and delivering against budget while maintaining build quality and programme targets. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead procurement, tendering, and commercial management of major residential schemes.
  • Produce monthly CVRS, forecasts, cost-to-complete reports, and board-level reporting.
  • Review and manage subcontractor performance and payments.
  • Act as a commercial lead on value engineering, risk assessments, and contract strategy.
  • Provide mentoring and oversight to Junior and Assistant QS team members.
  • Coordinate closely with development, planning, construction, and finance teams.
  • Review and advise on pre-construction cost planning and design decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with company processes, contractual obligations, and commercial policies.
About You
  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
  • 5+ years’ relevant experience in residential or mixed-use development.
  • Strong commercial acumen and proven track record of budget and risk management.
  • Excellent knowledge of contract law, procurement, and cost reporting standards.
  • Strong leadership and team development experience.
  • Capable of presenting commercial performance to senior stakeholders.
  • Proficient in industry-standard software and reporting tools.
