Senior BIM/Digital Engineering Manager – Main Contractor

£70,000 - £80,000 + Car Allowance & Paid Travel

Do you have experience working for a main contractor in the digital engineering space?

Are you keen to work for one of the world’s leading construction companies?

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting project teams throughout the entire project lifecycle. This includes evaluating the adequacy of existing resources against project objectives and ensuring effective communication with clients, team members, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting interviews to assess candidate suitability for BIM-related positions.
  • Creating and managing BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and shaping digital handover strategies for clients.
  • Maintaining a thorough understanding of ISO 19650 and relevant industry standards.
  • Ensuring compliance with information security protocols for data sharing and access.
  • Implementing governance and quality assurance procedures.
  • Monitoring digital project handovers through to completion.
  • Attending industry events to remain informed on BIM advancements.
  • Drafting Information Requirements (OIR, AIR, PIR, EIR) in accordance with ISO 19650.
  • Producing standardised information management methods, procedures, and shared digital resources.
  • Initiating recruitment processes for expanding the BIM team.
  • Researching regulatory compliance and new governance requirements.
What You’ll Need:
  • In-depth knowledge of content management systems, Autodesk desktop and cloud platforms, verification tools, visualisation software, and databases.
  • Advanced understanding of standards including ISO 19650, BS 1192, CDE environments, IFC, COBie, and classification systems.
  • A strong set of soft skills including problem-solving, adaptability, collaboration, planning, and stakeholder communication.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, innovation, and the ability to influence and guide others.
  • A Level 6 qualification or equivalent (e.g., Bachelor’s degree with honours, Graduate Certificate/Diploma, Level 6 NVQ/Diploma/Award/Certificate).
