Project Manager - Rail
Job description
A leading global professional services consultancy has recently secured a key delivery partner contract on a major transportation programme in the North of England. This multi-billion-pound programme will play a transformative role in the region, modernising a vital east–west corridor.
As a Project Manager, you’ll initially support this high profile programme while becoming a valued member of both the wider complex projects team and the project management practice.
You’ll be joining a collaborative and flexible business that genuinely invests in its people. Development is a real priority, with plenty of support and training available, as well as encouragement and guidance to help you progress towards becoming a fully Chartered Project Manager.
With around 160 professional project managers in the practice, the team supports a range of blue-chip clients across the full development and delivery lifecycle, so you will gain experience in working across multiple sectors; Rail, Road, Water, Energy and Aviation.
What will you be doing?
What do you need to be successful?
It is anticipated that you will be educated to degree level as a minimum, and hold around four years of experience in working as an assistant project manager or project manager in the infrastructure sector, with a strong preference for Rail.
You will have completed your PMQ, and have good exposure to working with the NEC suite of contracts.
In return you will receive a salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, subject to experience, along with a competitive benefits package which includes a double matched employer pension contribution, up to 10%, flexible leave (with the option to buy and sell annual leave), medical and dental insurance and international remote working.
