Location: Central London
Rate: £350–£400 per day (Freelance)
A leading tier one main contractor is seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to join their team on a prestigious life sciences project in Central London. This is a freelance position offering a day rate between £350–£400, depending on experience.

A leading tier one main contractor is seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to join their team on a prestigious life sciences project in Central London. This is a freelance position offering a day rate between £350–£400, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate all mechanical construction activities on site
- Supervise subcontractors and ensure adherence to programme, health & safety, and quality standards
- Liaise with design, planning, and commercial teams to ensure smooth project delivery
- Monitor progress against schedule and resolve issues as they arise
- Conduct regular site inspections and attend project meetings
- Ensure all documentation, permits, and compliance requirements are in place
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Construction Manager on large-scale commercial or life sciences projects
- Strong understanding of building services, particularly within highly serviced environments
- Previous work with tier one main contractors or respected MEP subcontractors preferred
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Relevant mechanical qualifications and SMSTS or equivalent certification
- Ability to manage complex packages and tight programmes
