Electrical Project Manager – Small Works (Commercial & Banking Projects)
London – (City of London)
£60,000 – £67,500 + Comprehensive Package (£2,500 travel allowance, healthcare, dental care, pension & two annual bonuses)
An established and growing building services contractor is seeking an experienced Small Works Electrical Project Manager to join its specialist small works division, delivering fast-track electrical projects across high-profile commercial and banking environments in London.
You will manage a portfolio of small works projects typically ranging from £10k to £200k, ensuring safe, timely and high-quality delivery within live operational buildings.
The Role
As an Electrical Project Manager, you will play a key role throughout the full project lifecycle, from initial conception and design collaboration, through to delivery, commissioning and professional handover. You will work closely with a wide range of stakeholders including designers, architects, estimating teams, commercial teams, subcontractors, specialist suppliers and end clients.

The Role
As an Electrical Project Manager, you will play a key role throughout the full project lifecycle, from initial conception and design collaboration, through to delivery, commissioning and professional handover. You will work closely with a wide range of stakeholders including designers, architects, estimating teams, commercial teams, subcontractors, specialist suppliers and end clients.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing multiple small works projects simultaneously within live commercial environments
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to a high standard
- Chairing meetings, producing accurate reports and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders
- Managing risk, programme sequencing, technical submissions and commercial variations
- Driving project programmes and proactively addressing potential issues
- Leading teams, maintaining high standards of HSEQ compliance and promoting best practice
- Building strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for additional works and ensuring excellent customer service
Essential:
- Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification, 18th Edition
- AM2S
- Valid ECS Black Card
- Testing & Inspection 2391
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations
- Proven experience managing fast-track electrical small works projects
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of contract terms
- Excellent communication, organisational and time-management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- UK Driving Licence & eligibility to work in the UK
Desirable:
- Project Management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2)
- Experience across RIBA design, delivery and commissioning stages
