Our client, a leading Tier 1 MEP Contractor, is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to support delivery on one of two flagship new-build commercial schemes, each with an MEP value between £30m – £50m.

These projects are among the most prestigious and technically complex developments currently underway in the City of London.

The Role As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the electrical delivery team, reporting to the Electrical Project Manager and Project Director. You’ll be responsible for coordinating design, managing subcontractor activities, and ensuring electrical systems are installed to the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the electrical project manager in delivering the electrical package from design through to commissioning and handover.
  • Coordinate electrical design information and resolve technical issues during construction.
  • Monitor installation progress and quality, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
  • Assist with procurement, material take-offs, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Work closely with mechanical and project teams to ensure smooth MEP integration.
  • Support testing, commissioning, and final project handover documentation.
About You
  • Experience working on large-scale commercial or mixed-use new-build projects.
  • Strong technical understanding of electrical building services systems (LV distribution, lighting, fire alarm, containment, small power, and controls).
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills.
  • Experience within a Tier 1 MEP contractor or major main contractor preferred.
  • Relevant electrical or building services qualification (HNC/HND/Degree).
What’s on Offer
  • Opportunity to work on one of London’s landmark commercial projects.
  • Long-term role with a Tier 1 contractor known for technical excellence and career development.
  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
