Design Manager - Netherlands

Are you an experienced Design Manager interested in working across Europe for a company that has secured a reputation for excellence? 


Due to the recent award of a brand new D&B turnkey project, we are recruiting a Design Manager to be based on the project in Groningen.  This mission critical project has a value of around €100M and you will be part of a team taking it from foundation and groundworks phase through to superstructure.


Please note that this position will require you to be based in Groningen. We can accommodate either a fly in fly out arrangement (rotation would be 17/4) OR full relocation (which will be financially supported). 


You'll be joining a privately owned Civil Construction Contractor, with a current headcount of around 240 and projected annual revenue of 180M. This is a great time to join a smaller contractor which has ambitious growth plans for their European business. Your contribution will be recognised and valued and you will be known by your name, not your payroll number.


Your key responsibilities will include:

• Lead design project meetings
• Oversee external design teams
• Liaise with the wider project team
• Work with clients to ensure that their requirements are fulfilled, and expectations met
• Ensure that design information is available to those who need it, when they need it
• Maintain thorough documentation of all processes
• Keep up to date with changing legislation and codes of practice to ensure compliance
• Input to design at tender through to project completion
• Maintain design programmes
• Drive forward value engineering and innovation into the project designs

To be successful in this position, it is thought that you will:

• Be educated to HND or Degree level in a construction related subject, such as Architecture, Civil Engineering or Construction
• Hold demonstrable experience in working as a Design Manager on a medium sized construction project (£50M+) 

On offer is a salary of 80,000 - 90,000 Euros plus a full benefits package which will include Healthcare, EAP and 25 days holiday (increases with service) plus public holidays.
