Role: Cost Manager and Senior Cost Manager
Location: Germany
Hybrid model: Onsite or Remote, with travel to Frankfurt 2 x per month
Employment type: Permanent
Language skills: English C1, German C1 (desirable)
You must be a German national/resident or have the necessary permits already in place to work in Germany.
Our client, a privately owned, leading global construction and consultancy firm are interested in meeting with highly skilled and experienced cost consultant professionals to work on a number of high-profile construction projects in Frankfurt, Germany.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing expert cost consultancy services across a range of projects.
- Managing cost planning, budgeting, and estimating processes.
- Undertaking and advising on Contract Administration, particularly under JCT and NEC forms of contract.
- Leading value engineering and life cycle costing initiatives.
- Analysing and advising on Capex versus Opex costs.
- Ensuring projects adhere to industry best practices and address hot topics such as Sustainability, Social Value, and Carbon Reduction.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key senior stakeholders.
- Contributing to business development activities.
About you:
- Previous experience in a cost consultancy practice in a similar role.
- Experience working with private and public sector property and infrastructure clients is beneficial.
- Proficiency in cost planning, budgeting, and estimating.
- Demonstrated ability in managing people and risk management.
- Knowledge of contract law and contractual frameworks relating to construction.
- Strong capability in Contract Administration.
- Familiarity with value engineering and life cycle costing.
- Solid understanding of industry best practices.
- Awareness of hot topic issues such as Sustainability, Social Value, and Carbon Reduction impacting the Public Sector.
- A degree in quantity surveying/cost management or equivalent.
- Professional membership, such as MRICS/RICS.
