About the Role:
We’re looking for a talented and proactive Building Surveyor to join our growing team in Cambridge. From historic college buildings to cutting-edge commercial spaces, you’ll be part of shaping the built environment in one of the most architecturally rich and innovative cities in the UK.
 
You’ll take the lead on a variety of instructions including condition surveys, project work, contract administration, defect diagnosis, and more—working closely with clients from education, commercial, and public sectors.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Carrying out building surveys, inspections, and preparing reports
  • Contract administration, project management, employers agent
  • Managing refurbishment and renovation projects
  • Providing professional advice on property maintenance, repair and refurbishment
  • Working closely with clients, contractors, and consultants
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and building regulations CDM 2015
  • Party wall/neighbourly matters
What We're Looking For:
  • Degree in Building Surveying or related field (RICS accredited preferred)
  • APC progression or MRICS status desirable, but not essential
  • Strong technical knowledge and report writing skills
  • Excellent client-facing communication and project management abilities
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently or in a team
