We’re looking for a talented and proactive Building Surveyor to join our growing team in Cambridge. From historic college buildings to cutting-edge commercial spaces, you’ll be part of shaping the built environment in one of the most architecturally rich and innovative cities in the UK.
You’ll take the lead on a variety of instructions including condition surveys, project work, contract administration, defect diagnosis, and more—working closely with clients from education, commercial, and public sectors.

Responsibilities:
- Carrying out building surveys, inspections, and preparing reports
- Contract administration, project management, employers agent
- Managing refurbishment and renovation projects
- Providing professional advice on property maintenance, repair and refurbishment
- Working closely with clients, contractors, and consultants
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and building regulations CDM 2015
- Party wall/neighbourly matters
- Degree in Building Surveying or related field (RICS accredited preferred)
- APC progression or MRICS status desirable, but not essential
- Strong technical knowledge and report writing skills
- Excellent client-facing communication and project management abilities
- Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently or in a team
- Competitive salary up to £50,000
