Technical Services Manager (Electrical Bias)
Location: Stevenage

We have an exciting job opportunity for a Technical Services Manager who is electrically bias to work for a leading tier one main contractor. This will be to work on a signature project in Stevenage.

What will you be doing?
  • Construction Management: Oversee the delivery of MEP services on projects, ensuring they meet time, budget, safety, and quality requirements.
  • Project Delivery: Ensure projects are completed efficiently, profitably, and in compliance with governance and assurance standards. Build and maintain relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to support project success.
  • Team Collaboration: Work within the project MEP team, reporting to the Project MEP Lead, to ensure adherence to business standards.
  • Site Management: Manage construction aspects of MEP services, including the site environment, programme, health and safety, quality, and commissioning.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Form strong relationships with clients, consultants, trade contractors, and other team leaders.
  • Programme Review: Manage programme reviews with trade specialists, addressing productivity, key issues, and coordination using digital technologies.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee the quality assurance process, ensuring high installation quality and adherence to agreed processes.
  • Delivery Strategies: Implement delivery strategies and programmes, ensuring milestones, interfaces, dependencies, logistics, and sequencing are achieved.
  • Commissioning Strategies: Implement commissioning strategies in line with the business standards, ensuring high-quality project closeout, including commissioning, as-built drawings, and QA/snagging.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify risks and develop mitigation plans. Collaborate towards net zero carbon transition, managing associated carbon emissions during project delivery.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Educational Background: Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services.
  • Experience: Background in fit-out or refurbishment projects, ideally with commercial builds or major projects for main contractors.
  • Technical Knowledge: Detailed understanding of MEP packages, installation techniques, best practices, and single system commissioning requirements.
  • Digital Proficiency: Digitally astute, capable of using technology to enhance project delivery.
  • Client Relationship Management: Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
