Job Opportunity: Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor – Major Highways Project | Surrey

Location: Surrey, UK
Contract Type: Freelance (Outside IR35)
Rate: Competitive, DOE
Start Date: Immediate / ASAP
Project Type: Major Highways Infrastructure

Must-Have Experience:

• Major highways or civil infrastructure projects (preferably with a Tier 1 contractor)
• Strong NEC contract administration (Option B experience preferred)
• Management of subcontract procurement and package management
• Cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting on large capital works
• Experience in change management, compensation events, and final accounts
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage risk and drive value
• Excellent stakeholder and client-facing communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a freelance capacity and hit the ground running

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
• MRICS or working towards chartership
• Proficient in industry-standard software (e.g. CEMAR, Excel, cost management tools)
