Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor
Tier 1 Main Contractor (Building Services)

We are excited to partner with a prestigious Tier 1 main contractor known for their expertise across the building services sector. They handle complex projects including data centres, commercial buildings, residential developments, and stadiums. With a workforce exceeding industry standards and strong financial backing, they are projected to surpass £1 billion in turnover this financial year.

We are recruiting for a Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor for a state-of-the-art Commercial and Hotel, located just outside the City Centre in Cardiff. The MEP package surpasses £60 million, and the project is currently in the preconstruction phase. You will take full responsibility for the MEP package on this flagship project, which requires at least two years of work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the MEP packages, including procurement, cost management, and contract administration.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Lead on all financial aspects of the MEP works, including monthly cost reports and final accounts.
  • Work closely with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor role within the construction sector.
  • Strong understanding of MEP packages, including mechanical, electrical, and public health systems.
  • Excellent commercial acumen and strong negotiation skills.
  • Previous experience with large-scale projects, ideally within the sports, commercial, or hospitality sectors.
  • Ability to work in Cardiff for the duration of the project.
