We have patterned with a highly respected, growing consultancy in Hampshire. The practice is looking to appoint a Senior Fire Engineer to lead and develop their Fire Engineering service line.
 
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced professional to step into a strategic role where you won’t just deliver projects. You the successful Senior Fire Engineer will influence and shape a department, lead a team, and drive the future direction of the business.
 
The Opportunity
 
As a Senior Fire Engineer, you’ll take ownership of the Fire Engineering function from Romsey, overseeing a talented team while continuing to deliver high-level technical work. The Senior Fire Engineer will act as the figurehead for the service line, supporting growth, winning work, and expanding capability across sectors.
 
This role suits someone who enjoys both technical leadership and commercial influence, and who’s excited by the idea of building something bigger.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of Fire Engineers, mentoring and developing talent
  • Oversee delivery of fire strategies, assessments, and engineered solutions
  • Act as the technical authority for the Fire Engineering service line
  • Support business development, client engagement, and project win strategies
  • Grow and develop the department, shaping structure, capability, and future direction
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards, legislation, and best practice
  • Collaborate with directors and senior stakeholders across the business
 
The Senior Fire Engineer
  • Proven experience in Fire Engineering at a senior or principal level
  • Strong leadership and people-management capability
  • Chartered status (or working toward) with a relevant body preferred
  • Commercial awareness and confidence working with clients and stakeholders
  • Ability to combine hands on technical delivery with strategic oversight
  • Ambition to grow and lead a high-performing team
