Senior Design Manager

Position: Senior Design Manager
Location: Bristol
 
An excellent job opportunity for a Senior Design Manager to work for a leading tier one main contractor working on an exciting signature fit out and refurbishment project in Bristol. 

What will you be doing:

• We work with our clients to establish a credible strategic roadmap from project inception through to operation - bridging the gap between the scheme’s intent and the practicalities of buildability.
• Establishing the clients and respective third-party key drivers and requirements.
• Conducting site visits to establish the existing constraints, interfaces, and existing operations.
• Reviewing and providing buildability input into the early design stages
• Developing construction logistics strategies and buildability options, including modern methods of construction (MMC), to address the key project constraints, interfaces, existing operations, and associated phasing.
• Identifying, evaluating and establishing a management plan for key delivery risks/ opportunities. Providing input into design, budgets, and cost plans.
• Validating project timeframes and delivery options using a combination of data analysis, experience, the business internal capability and external market expertise.
• Contributing to project delivery documentation for appraisals, feasibility studies, town planning, procurement and etc.
• Directing the communication of the programme and delivery strategy, utilising various presentation techniques to suit the respective audience.

You must have experience working on commercial fit out projects within a main contractor Design Team. Your involvement will be from the start of the project working alongside the Project Director, pulling the external design team and managing the design process.
