Job description
Job Title – MEP QS
Location – West London
An excellent job opportunity for an experienced forward-thinking MEP QS to work for a leading construction company who has a vision to be the world’s most dynamic construction services company, delivering places that help people and businesses thrive.
What will you be doing…
You will be responsible for all financial aspects of the project, for allocated MEP related packages working closely with the Senior Commercial Manager/Divisional Commercial Manager and Project Manager.
To take active responsibility for all financial procedures in conjunction
To suggest trade contractors, systems, and manufacturers for team
To lead role the valuation
Develop initial project budget and agree detailed cost plan for agreement with the professional
Advise client on procurement routes
Prepare and monitor Bid Package Tender
Advise on product selection, specifications and assist with value engineering
Advise on selection of Sub-Contractors.
Monitor the information flow both to and from Client to ensure that work undertaken by subcontractors is always fully
Attend and if necessary, chair meetings with the design team and with sub-contractors.
Manage the change process in conjunction with the extended
Instruct accounts to invoice clients
Instruct accounts to pay subcontractors and suppliers
Prepare ‘rolling’ final account throughout project and agree at PC. Subsequently, close out financial account and retention releases
Prepare final account reconciliation (CVR), create regular budget and price updates, update computerised cost control system, and prepare the monthly cost and progress report for Fit Out directors responsible
Provide feedback to trade contractors on completion
Internal reporting via billing monitors, MCR’s and interim CVR’s
What skills, experience and qualifications are required/desired for the role?
Recognised qualification in a MEP building related subject
Attitude: characterized by enthusiasm, commitment to personal and divisional success
Proactive, diligent, able, and willing to think ahead

Ability to communicate positively and effectively
Structured approach: focused, thorough, high level of attention to detail
