One of the UK’s leading, Tier One MEP Contractors requires a Mechanical Project Manager to lead the back end of a small, new-build school scheme in Bedfordshire.  This opportunity is available on a freelance basis for a period of around three months, when it is due to handover.

Reporting to the Construction Director, you’ll be responsible for the full mechanical team and various sub-contractors.

Duties include:

• Planning the development of the project and be responsible for any engineering issues.
• Prepare reports for; capital cost estimates, project schedules, material take off’s and out to tender schedules.
• Delegation of works to the mechanical engineering and construction team.
• Leading progress report meetings with the board and client.
• Use the request for information system to communicate queries with the design team.
• Preparing risk assessments and method statements.
• Ensure quality control is up to date through inspections and snagging.
• Be able to communicate with clients professionally.
