Location: South West London
Company: Multi-national, Tier 1 MEP Contractor
Project: £20m MEP Package – Major Hospital Scheme. 
Start Date: ASAP

About the Company:
Our client is a globally recognised, Tier 1 MEP contractor with a proven track record in delivering large-scale, complex building services projects across healthcare, commercial, and infrastructure sectors. Known for innovation, quality, and technical excellence, they are now seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead the mechanical delivery from pre-cosntruction to handover on a flagship hospital project in South West London.

The Role:
As Mechanical Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the mechanical package (value: £20m) of this high-profile healthcare scheme, currently in the pre-construction phase and due to commence on site in January. You’ll report directly to the site-based Project Director and manage a focused team of Mechanical Engineers to ensure the successful design, coordination, and delivery of the mechanical scope.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the mechanical package throughout pre-construction and delivery
  • Oversee mechanical design coordination, value engineering, and technical submittals
  • Manage subcontractor procurement, packages, and performance
  • Ensure health & safety, quality, and programme compliance
  • Work closely with the Project Director and other disciplines to maintain alignment and progress
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to Mechanical Engineers within your team
  • Liaise with client, consultants, and stakeholders as the key mechanical point of contact
Requirements:
  • Proven experience managing mechanical packages on large-scale MEP projects (£10m+)
  • Previous healthcare project experience is advantageous but not essential
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of mechanical building services
  • Ability to lead and coordinate design, procurement, and site teams
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services (or equivalent)
