MEP Specialist Contractor
Hertfordshire (Located 10 minutes outside the M25)

My client is a fast-growing, financially robust MEP Principal Contractor, currently seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to lead the delivery of a high-value pipework upgrade on an exciting data centre project located just 10 minutes outside the M25 in Hertfordshire.

With consistently strong growth and a projected turnover of £75m for 2025, the company is renowned for its excellent staff retention, clear paths for career progression, and a portfolio of prestigious end-user clients.

About the Role:

• Project value: £6m (with further packages in negotiation – potential for a 3-year duration)
• Type: Pipework infrastructure upgrade on a live data centre
• Stage: Preconstruction starting April; full contract duration 12 months
• Reports to: Contracts Manager – newly appointed to lead the growing data centre division

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience delivering mechanical packages, ideally in critical environments (data centres, healthcare, pharma, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of pipework systems and MEP coordination
• Able to manage subcontractors, programme, cost, and quality
• Effective communicator, client-facing experience is a plus
• Based within commutable distance to the project in Hertfordshire.

Available On Both Permanent & Freelance Basis:

Permanent:

• Salary: £75,000–£80,000
• Package: £5,000 travel allowance, private medical healthcare, pension, 24 days holiday + bank holidays, and more

Freelance:

• Competitive day rate – open to negotiation depending on experience
