Mechanical Project Manager

A dynamic, medium-sized Mechanical Contractor with a turnover of around £50m and ambitious growth plans requires a Lead Mechanical Project Manager to join its team, due to securing one of their largest ever projects – a £20m mechanical fit-out of eleven storeys of office space in Central London, due to begin design stage in September.
You will be the lead for the whole project and manage a team of Engineers, Construction Managers / Supervisors and other white collar operatives, working alongside the Project Quantity Surveyor.
This opportunity is available on both a PAYE and freelance basis.

- Preparation of commissioning documents
- Planning the development of the project and be responsible for any engineering issues
- Working with the Quantity Surveyor to manage cost and make sure the project is within or below budget
- Leading progress meetings with client and external stakeholders
- Use the request for information system to communicate queries with the design team
- Preparing risk assessments and method statements
- Ensure all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements are followed throughout the project
- Ensure quality control is up to date through inspections and snagging
- Delegation of work to the delivery team
