Job description

Job Title: Logistics Operative
Business Unit: FM
Reports to: Logistics Supervisor
 

Provide comprehensive logistics support services at the client's location in London, EC4A. This role involves extensive walking and frequent lifting and handling of waste materials, boxes, and other items, necessitating a good level of physical fitness. Team members must be prepared to follow instructions from the Logistics Mobilisation Manager or Logistics Supervisor and step in for the Manager as needed.
 
Key Deliverables:
Logistics Support
  • Manage all inbound deliveries/collections via Zone Manager.
  • Direct vehicles arriving at the loading bay.
  • Deliver client mail and parcels at pre-determined times.
  • Deliver research papers, magazines, and newspapers to client desks as required.
  • Register inbound receipts from the GS off-site mail room, ensuring the chain of custody records are correctly maintained.
  • Close off chain of custody deliveries using in-house software.
  • Collect outbound mail from internal mail points and deliver it to the GS courier desk.
  • Remove all waste materials from goods lift lobbies throughout the site.
  • Load waste into the weekly wait & load skip.
  • Collect archive boxes from client desks.
  • Perform portering duties.
  • Collect outbound shipments.
  • Place waste bins in goods lift lobbies on all floors.
  • Place all waste materials into the on-site compactors.
  • Wash all general and food waste bins weekly.
  • Wash the flooring under compactor units during exchange.
  • Perform ad hoc collections and deliveries as necessary.
  • Support equipment and furnishing moves within PTC, as well as inbound and outbound moves.
  • Replenish all stationery items daily.
  • Restock printer paper daily.
  • Deliver cleaners' consumables to the central storage location.
  • Receive and store inbound stationery and paper deliveries.
  • Place stationery orders to DMG.
  • Oversee gym linen drop-off and collections.
  • Receive and forward all COVID-19 testing kits and related consumables/equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
