About the Project We are delivering a large-scale structural refurbishment package on one of the piers at Gatwick Airport. This complex, high-profile scheme will run for two years and requires a skilled Sub Agent with strong Tier 1 contractor experience in above-ground structural works.

Role Overview The Sub Agent will play a key role in finalising designs, working through the ECI stage, and liaising with designers to ensure the works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced professional who can manage design coordination, drive progress on-site, and support delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on design finalisation and manage coordination during the ECI stage.
• Work closely with designers and stakeholders to resolve technical queries.
• Support delivery teams with planning, sequencing, and overseeing works.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and programme requirements.
• Manage and mentor junior engineers where required.
• Provide accurate reporting and progress updates to senior management.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven Sub Agent experience with a Tier 1 contractor.
• Strong background in above-ground structural works.
• Demonstrable experience of working through ECI and design stages.
• Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, and quality standards on major projects.
• Airport or similarly complex live environment experience beneficial.
