As we continue to expand, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team.

Position Overview:
As a Estimator at Performance Adhesives Ltd, you will play a crucial role in the successful execution of our projects. You will be responsible for accurately estimating the cost and materials required across all our projects, ensuring that our clients receive comprehensive and competitive proposals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating, excellent attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of joinery and fire stopping products.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Estimation: Analysing plans, bills of quantities and other project documentation in order to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for all works on the project, considering all relevant factors such as materials, labor, and overhead costs.
2. Site Assessment: Conduct thorough on-site assessments to gather necessary information for accurate estimations, collaborating with project managers and other team members as needed.
3. Compliance: Stay up-to-date with fire safety regulations and the latest technologies to ensure that all estimates comply with industry standards and local building codes.
4. Vendor Relations: Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
5. Proposal Development: Prepare clear and professional proposals for the board, outlining project details, timelines, and cost breakdowns. Input into decisions over whether to bid/no-bid for the project.
6. Communication: Work closely with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to address inquiries, provide clarification on estimates, and contribute to the overall success of the project.
7. Risk: Analysing data that can affect costs (such as currency exchange rates and the company’s productivity rates) and assessing the financial, technical and operational risks of the project
8. Governance: Keeping detailed records and filing relevant reports.

Requirements:
1. Experience: Experience in construction estimating, preferably from joinery and/or fire safety products
2. Technical Skills: Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
3. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
4. Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in estimating project costs.
