Design Manager

Role: Design Manager
Location: Norfolk.  

We are currently in the process of hiring a Design Manager to oversee and supervise the design process for the refurbishment of a large-scale mixed-use construction project based in Norfolk.

Type: Freelance.
Duration: Ongoing.
Salary/Rate: Up to £350 per day via Ltd Company or PAYE Umbrella, dependent on skills and experience. This role has been deemed to be outside IR35 if necessary, if it passes the IR35 assessment, this will be assessed for each candidate.
 
As a Freelance Design Manager, your primary roles and responsibilities will include:
 

• Reviewing designs with all Health and Safety Protocols considered.
• Monitor document verification and document control for the project.
• Ensuring all drawings are ready on time.
• Weekly review of all designs to maintain project schedule delivery.
• Liaising with clients and subcontractors on all design-related matters.
• Assessing, mitigating, and managing any risks related to the design process.
• Manage the Design team.
• Chairing design meetings, writing reports and presenting reports to Senior Management.

 
Essential Criteria:
 

• 3+ years of relevant construction experience.

• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• An excellent eye and attention to detail.
• Able to be based in Norfolk 5 days a week.
