Contract Support
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Location: Abingdon, Oxfordshire
 
Job Summary:
The Contract Support role is vital in ensuring efficient administration and management of contracts within the construction and facilities management sector. This position involves working closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to maintain contract integrity and support service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Contract Administration: Manage the full lifecycle of contract administration including drafting, reviewing, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Client Interaction: Act as the primary contact for clients regarding contract-related matters, ensuring prompt and accurate communication.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of all contracts, amendments, and related correspondence in an organized filing system.
  • Compliance: Ensure all contracts adhere to legal standards, industry regulations, and company policies, assisting in the development and implementation of compliance procedures.
  • Renewals and Terminations: Monitor contract timelines for renewals and terminations, ensuring proactive management and timely actions.
  • Financial Tracking: Assist in tracking and reporting the financial performance of contracts, including invoicing, payment processing, and budget monitoring.
  • Coordination: Work closely with legal, finance, operations, and project management teams to facilitate contract execution and administration.
  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve contract-related issues or disputes promptly and efficiently.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on contract status, performance metrics, and compliance to senior management.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in contract administration within the construction or facilities management industry.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of contract law and commercial terms specific to the construction and facilities management sectors.
    • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and contract management software.
    • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
    • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in contract management (e.g., Certified Commercial Contracts Manager - CCCM).
  • Software: Experience with contract management software such as Aconex, Procore, or similar.
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the construction and facilities management industry, including relevant regulations and best practices.
