Job description

Position: BIM Manager
Location: Camberidge 
Salary: £55-65k plus package 

An excellent job opportunity for a BIM Manager to work for a leading tier one main contractor. This will be to work on a signature life sciences project in Cambridge.
 
What will you be doing?
  • Understanding the contractual obligations in the delivery of the design and project BIM Execution Plan (BEP) on a project-by-project basis
  • Working across multiple projects to provide the role of a senior BIM and digital engineering manager
  • Working with the BIM team on BIM role out to meet the UK government 2016 BIM mandate and company BIM Ali360 policy
  • Acting as the project information manager with implementation of project standards, methods, and procedures in accordance with PAS1192-2:2013 and other standards (ISO 19560 Part 1 & 2: 2018) as set out in the project BEP
  • Supporting the project delivery manager with compilation and management of the MIDP and alignment with responsibility matrix (LOI and LOD), assessing the task teams’ capacity to deliver information in accordance with the MIDP and assure the project information model is delivered in accordance with the MIDP
  • Federating digital information and structured data models; prepare clash detection reports and communicate the issues identified to design/construction lead and task teams
  • Supporting the design/construction lead in coordination workshops with task teams to resolve issues identified in clash detection reports.
  • Arranging BIM training for project staff
  • Ensuring all correct BIM documentation on projects are in line with business expectations
  • Supporting projects with implementing 3D coordination and federation, visualisation, 4D animations, 5D quantity take-off and costs, AIM and BIM field tools
  • Monitoring projects on digital platforms such as BIM360 FIELD
Let’s talk about you….

You have a recognised BIM qualification or equivalent. Good knowledge of 3D, 4D, 5D modelling - where defined in the project BEP. Strong knowledge and experience PAS 1192-2: 2013 and ISO 950 Part 1& 2, trained and understands the output which are required as per BIM Policy and UK Government mandate.
You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and will provide support to strong, motivated teams. Proven experience and skills using BIM federation tools and data analysis tools i.e., Navisworks Manage, Solibri Model Checker.
