People Group are looking to recruit a Assistant Project Manager from a Client Side background to work for a Train Operating Company.
Responsibilities
- Helping to administer contract elements related to the delivery of the infrastructure project, ensuring adherence to the project programme and closely collaborating with the Project Manager
 - Administration of the delivery of construction documents produced by the appointed Design and Build contractor, reviewing detail and ensuring a high quality of work.
 - Managing communication and change control between stakeholders, including the client, the contractor and the Depot user population.
 - Checking and ensuring robust implementation of the contractor's programme
 - Preparing planning application documents including the environmental statement
 - Promotion of an exemplary Health and Safety culture
 
Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Graduate Engineer or similar level of qualifications and proven work experience
 - Experience working in the UK rail industry client side
 - Understanding of Contracts and Contract Management, specifically NEC4 Contract
 - Experience in using recognised contract management techniques (e.g. CEMAR)
 - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
 - Familiarity with project management software and financial systems is advantageous
