Kicking Off Team Spirit at Sapphire’s 5-a-Side

Last Thursday, a few of our team swapped laptops for football boots as they took part in Sapphire’s 5-a-side football tournament, and what an evening it was!

Representing the company on the pitch were Andreas, Ashley, Matt, Tommy, and Alex, who all brought the energy, teamwork, and competitive spirit. The team started strong, going unbeaten in the group stage and finishing top of the table, a real testament to their coordination and determination.

Unfortunately, despite the early success, the knockout rounds didn’t go our way. We bowed out after a hard-fought match, but not without giving it everything. Regardless of the result, it was a fantastic effort from the whole team and a great chance to connect outside of the usual work setting.

A special shoutout goes to George, who came along to support from the sidelines and kept team morale high throughout the tournament👏

Events like this are a great reminder of the value of team spirit, camaraderie, and a bit of healthy competition. A huge thank you to Sapphire for organising such a fun and well-run tournament, we’re already looking forward to the rematch!
