Trainee Mechanical Project Manager

Witham, Essex 

A unique and rare job opportunity has become available with a market leading, privately owned M&E contractor who successfully deliver large Commercial, Residential, Health Care and data centre projects across the UK. They are seeking a Trainee Mechanical Project Manager to join the Essex division based in Witham.

As a Trainee Mechanical Project Manager, you will embark on a comprehensive training program designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to successfully manage mechanical projects. You will work closely with experienced project managers, engineers, and other professionals to gain hands-on experience in the planning, execution, and completion of mechanical projects across London.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support project managers in coordinating mechanical projects from initiation to completion.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and reports.
  • Learn to manage project budgets and costs effectively, ensuring projects are delivered within financial constraints.
  • Develop communication skills by liaising with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure clear and effective information flow.
  • Contribute to maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality control throughout project lifecycles.
  • Comply with and promote health and safety standards on project sites, learning to prioritize the well-being of all team members.

Skills & Qualifications required:
  • Minimum of 1+ years of hands-on experience as a pipe fitter or plumber.
  • Familiarity with mechanical systems, HVAC, and plumbing installations.
  • Basic understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • agerness to learn and adapt to new technologies, processes, and industry trends.
