Site Supervisor - Highways / Earthworks

Job Title: Site Supervisor – Major Highways Scheme
Location: South West
Contract: 6 Months Initially (Potential for Extension)
Pay: Outside IR35 / CIS
Hours: Days Only

Overview:
We are working with a Tier 1 contractor delivering a major highways scheme in the South West. With significant follow-on works planned, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Supervisor to join the project team and oversee key site operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the site team, ensuring works are completed safely, on time and to the required quality standards.
• Oversee highways and earthworks activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
• Liaise with the project management team, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Maintain site records, progress reports, and H&S documentation.
• Proactively identify and resolve site issues to keep works on track.

Requirements:

• Proven experience supervising highways and earthworks works on major civils projects.
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
• Good knowledge of health & safety regulations.
• Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
• Relevant tickets/qualifications (e.g., SSSTS/SMSTS, CSCS).
