Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Site Manager to oversee operations on the Thames Tideway Project. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of this landmark project, demonstrating exceptional leadership and technical expertise in civil engineering or marine construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Lead and motivate site staff, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve project objectives safely and efficiently.
- Monitor and enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a positive safety culture on site.
- Liaise with project stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and regulatory authorities, to address concerns and ensure project requirements are met.
- Prepare and review method statements, risk assessments, and other project documentation to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
- Implement and maintain site procedures, including quality assurance, procurement, and personnel management.
- Provide regular progress reports to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and proposed solutions.
- Extensive experience in civil engineering or marine construction, preferably on large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Hold a valid Black CSCS card and NVQ Level 6 qualification in a relevant field.
- Possess SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
- TWS (Temporary Works Supervisor) qualification is desirable.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
