A Principal Contractor is looking to recruit several Site Engineers to support in the delivery of civil engineering projects with values of between 10M - 60M. They have a secure order book to 2028, so offer a very stable and secure working environment along with a clear and structured career path to Project Manager. They prioritise internal promotion and if you're good, progression will be quick.
As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:

On offer is a salary of between 30,000 - 50,000 per annum (DOE), plus a very attractive benefits package incorporating an annual bonus, tax free subsistence, accommodation, car allowance, matched contribution pension and private medical.

As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:
- Maintain high personal safety and environmental standards
- Supervise Assistant Engineers
- Ensure that the drawings and specification documents contain sufficient, accurate information for construction of the works
- Provide accurate and clear setting out for works
- Communicate with foremen and gangers to ensure a full understanding of the information provided
- Arrange formal checking of setting out
- Complete inspection and test plans
- Keep an accurate daily site diary
- Prepare of 4 weekly programmes
- Provide accurate measurements for materials required
- Maintain material reconciliation figures for reporting
- Ensure that material delivery tickets are passed on for cost coding
- Carry out testing/sampling of materials
- Maintain survey books
- Take receipt of materials and perform checks
To be successful in this position, it is thought that you will:
- Be educated to HND or Degree level in Civil Engineering
- Hold a CSCS Card - Academically or Professionally Qualified Person/Supervisory/Manager
- Have a SSSTS or SMSTS
- Ideally have at least 6 months of site based experience working on a civil engineering project
