Job description

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be a part of a motivated rail team, supporting them on the commercial aspect of major rail and other infrastructure projects from maintanance and upgrades to the ocnstruction of brand new stations and seeing those projects through from conception through to delivery.

As a Senior Qauntity Surveyor you will be expected to use your knowledge and experience within the industry to:
  • Set up necessary systems to efficiently file and retrieve information and allow others to do likewise.
  • Establish Commercial Strategy and Framework for the project(s) and agree, amend, and monitor the effectiveness of these stratagies with the Director/Commercial Manager.
  • Manage the procurement and of sub-contractors.
  • Deliver profitability, without significant WIP, at the levels expected of your project(s) or required to support the company's Business Plan.

A perfect candidate will:
  • Hold relevant qualifications (e.g. degree in quantity survyeing).
  • Have experience within the rail (signalling and overhead lines), construction or civils industry.
  • Have experience identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Have excellent communicator (written and verbally with clients, colleagues and the public)
