Senior Electrical Estimator
Central London - Tier 1 MEP Contractor
£75,000 – £100,000 + Package
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, a leading Tier 1 MEP contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to join its established pre-construction team in Central London.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in delivering complex, high-value projects across the commercial, healthcare, life sciences, residential, and mixed-use sectors, with project values ranging from £10m to £150m MEP.
The business has built a strong reputation for delivering technically challenging projects and offers a stable, collaborative environment with genuine long-term progression opportunities.
The Role:
• Lead electrical estimating activities across multiple high-value tenders
• Produce detailed and competitive cost plans for power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, life safety systems, containment, and associated electrical services packages
• Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to identify commercial opportunities and technical risks
• Manage supplier and subcontractor enquiries, analysing quotations and benchmarking market rates
• Work closely with pre-construction managers, design teams, and operational delivery teams throughout the bid process
• Contribute to value engineering strategies and tender presentations
• Support and mentor junior estimators within the team
• Maintain awareness of current market conditions, labour trends, and material pricing
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Senior Electrical Estimator within the building services / MEP sector
• Strong technical understanding of electrical systems and installation methodologies
• Track record pricing major commercial or technically complex projects
• Ability to manage multiple tenders in a fast-paced environment
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Experience using estimating software and Microsoft Office packages
