Job description
Role: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Norwich.
We are currently in the process of hiring a Quantity Surveyor to oversee the estimation of costs, material quantities, and project timelines for the refurbishment of a large-scale mixed-use construction project based in Norwich.
The successful candidate will be working and reporting directly to the lead project manager as well as working closely alongside external client staff, key stakeholders, and the internal team. You will be expected to be fully responsible for the management of specific tasks while on-site.
This is a permanent role with regular Monday – Friday working hours and has a salary of up to £70,000.
As a Quantity Surveyor, your principal roles and responsibilities will include:

As a Quantity Surveyor, your principal roles and responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work.
- Prepare and analyse project costings for tenders, such as materials, quantities, labour, and time.
- Perform risk and value management, and cost control during construction.
- Identify, analyse, and develop responses to commercial risks.
- Negotiate contracts and work schedules.
- Managing project budget, ensuring value for money.
- Analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports.
- Advise and implement a procurement strategy.
- Must have 3+ years of Quantity Surveying Experience.
- Experience working for a principal contractor.
- Effective analytical thinking skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Be available to start within the next 4 weeks.
- Able to be based in Norwich on site 4 days a week.
