Company Overview: We are working with a leading earthworks and engineering firm specializing in major infrastructure projects. We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager / Site Agent to join the team for a major highways project based in Birmingham.

Position Overview: The Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of a significant highways project. The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in civil engineering, with a strong focus on earthworks and highways. They will also have a proven track record in managing sub-contractors and ensuring project milestones are met within budget and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the project team in the planning, execution, and delivery of a major highways project.
• Manage all aspects of civil engineering works, with a particular focus on earthworks and highways construction.
• Oversee sub-contractor management, ensuring all parties adhere to project specifications and timelines.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, including clients, government agencies, and internal teams, to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Prepare and present regular project reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Manage project budget, ensuring cost control and financial accountability.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Extensive experience in project management within the civil engineering and highways sector.
• Proven experience in earthworks and highways construction.
• Strong knowledge of sub-contractor management and contract administration.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and make informed decisions under pressure.
• Familiarity with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is a plus.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Birmingham, UK.
